Fortunately, rebuilt '02 heads are pretty reasonable. Contact Alumatect in CA, Vines in the South, or Max. in the east.

Bought a '88 528e head from Alunatech--so far so good. Can't vouch for Vines. Max. is a pretty safe bet.
