I just took off my cylinder head and when I took a close look at it, I noticed 2 hairline cracks between the valves on #2 and 3 cylinders. Is this head salvageable? Is this a really big problem? The car ran fine prior to discovering this problem. What needs to be done? Any input is greatly appreciated.


Yep you have a problem. This area is not a good candidate for welding. If Jack can't help you, try Ireland Engineering in Duarte, CA (LA area).
