15 and driving on your own? What state or country? Last I heard its 16 for California.
I recommend you keep the various pieces of the AC you removed since the next owner may want some of it at least as an example of whats there normally.
Also and more to the point of my post here is that I recommend a $12-15 electric thermostat kit that wires in-line with the power feed to the electric AC RAD fan. With it you can dial in exactly when you want the fan to come on AUTOMATICALLY. You don't want to miss when it should come on by simply concentrating on the road (recommended!) or having someone else drive the car and not know better. Make it automatic and forget about it.
Also, you've picked a great car for learning car repair skills. The lack of complexity of the 2002 is ideal for this. PS

-Today I took the old broken AC unit out. It took a few hours because of my inexperience with mechanics(im only 15 yrs old). It makes a good weight reduction. Now I am going to put the old AC fan that sits in front of the radiator and run a switch to the dash, so when my car gets hot sitting in a traffic jam, I can turn it on and have more air going to the radiator.
-So any of you people with the old broken AC units in their 02, its a good thing to go ahead and get it out of the way.
