I used to have to clean up my points every 4 weeks. Took them out, used a Dremel with thin cut-off wheel to even up the contacting sides (and grind down the peak which grooves with the pit, you know what I mean), and finished off by gently holding them closed while pulling 600-grit sandpaper through them. Runs fantastic for about 2-3 weeks. Sucked during those last few days, especially when stuck in traffic on a hot day. Luckily, those days are long over. The Pertonix not only starts up faster, but I have the feeling it helps the car to idle better when hot, no "missing." MSD is up next (after rebuild). Hoa
