First off, it looks like it might be a tight fit, which may create problems. Secondly, I really don't know what benefit this would give on a street engine other than allowing you to run the engine if you lost the electrical system. It still uses points, and probably actually adds some drag to the motor (draining off a a few HP in the process). It might "wake up your car" if you have a marginal ignition system, or if you run rediculously high compression and nitro-methane, but I doubt you'd see much difference on the street.


The guy selling it suggests replacing the distributor with this magneto. I understand the idea and principles but has anyone ever done this and whats your results.
