Famous last words, at 3:00 pm:

"Honey, I'm gonna go out to the garage for a couple minutes."

3 and half hours later...

1) Anyway, was messing around today. For no apparent reason my hazards/turn signals did not work today. They worked last time I drove the car a week ago. Since then it has been parked inside a garage. Filaments appear to be OK. Any guesses/ places I could check? Fuses are new too.

2) It's been a year since I had a cluster out, I gave away my haynes manual when I sold my '76 last year, and my NEW manual is coming in the mail. So - I'm trying to troubleshoot a non-working tach. Is the gree/blue wire combo behind it the one that plugs into the middle of the 3 posts on the tach (marked +, 1, and -)? There is also a brown ground wire floating around, but I think that goes to the disconnected rear defrost.

3) How on earth do I get the metal shield of the bottom of the steering column? All I see are screws, and they are all out. Yet it remains firmly ensconced. Do I haul on this, finesse it, or am I missing something?
