There is a professional tool that is used that bolts on (some tire store used to rent them). I have a picture of one at work, I will post it tommorrow. I have heard of some people slightly heating up the paint so it will not be prone to crack so easily durint the process.

Hi,

Can someone out there tell me how they rolled the fender lips on their '02? My rears rub just slightly.

Thanks Friends,

Steve

P.S. I have a new paint job, so I need to be gentle. I wish I'd knew I would need to do this before I'd painted! :)

i have done the baseball bat trick- ws not enough. when we lowered the car with new sport springs, my meknik did an old race car trickhe uses on his j stock m3: make small cuts in the lip all the way around either with air cutting tool like he did on a lift, or with a grinder. make the cuts close together. take a large faced soft metal hammer and pound the cuts up. tis will give you the clearence you need, and when we did it it did not break outter paint on either vehicle. ( careful hammering essential). then you can put your fat tires on and load up the rear end with whatever, and the rub will be gone. that is how we cured my probem- oh ya- always be careful of the razor sharp areas on the lip you may create.
