the good guy. be polite, friendly, understanding, and etc., and unless they are real butt-plugs, they should pay for at minimum the needed rebuild of #1, and shipping both ways if you are real nice to them. (Actually, I would demand both, and for them to wash my car for a year for my trouble. god knows they charge enough to provide just this kind of support.)

let us know how it works out as I intend to buy one of their ridiculously expensive "sport" od trannys. i always thought MM had a good rep, but last time i really looked them over was at the height of my 76 euro GTi build-up project.

1st - give them a chance. Contact them. Provide documentation. What you have presented here is good, actual measurements by your mechanic would be excellent. Complaining to the board is not going to get you anything from MM - but we are definitely interested in your progress.

I'm not qualified to respond to the rest of the questions. There are some here who are and I will read their responses with interest.
