For a patch you could have the piston knurrled and get rings suitable for the oversize bore or larger and adjust ring gaps to fit. If you have anything more than about 12thou taper in the bore it'll just break the rings after a while. Go to any VW performance shop and get a set of rings and three extra free sets for about $30. they have many sizes ranging from about 80mm to well over 100mm. You'd want to know the ring groove width as well. I actually fixed up an old BSA this way and it's been running beautifully ever since.

1. Should MM stand behind this?
2. Are there other solutions/options available to me?
3. What/whose pistons & rings should I get?
4. What ought this process cost?
5. Because this is a bored & stroked motor, will sleeving be a risky proposition regarding wall thickness?

Gentleman, I thank you in advance for any and all guidance and suggestions!!!!!!!!!!
