A Tii engine has more compression. 9 to 1 in US trim and 9.5 to 1 in Euro trim. More compression requires less advance. A lower compression engine like a standard 2002 with 8.5 to 1 compression requires more advance than a Tii will supply. So, it will only lower your power.
By the way, this is a mistake that many people are doing.


Very interesting. My '75 has a Tii dizy on a standard '02 by the PO. And the Tii rebuilt engine I just purchased has a non Tii Dizy.Hmmm. I guess I should swap the two, then ay?
