In Reply to: Suggestions for a carb on a Tii engine? posted by jb on September 24, 2000 at 23:25:18:

I recently purchased an '02 with a '72 factory rebuilt Tii engine with low miles, that I'm dropping in my existing '02. The problem with it is that 0-60 it is not very impressive BUT it has a LOT of power once I'm going 70mph. It has a Weber 32/36 DGAV on it and I was wondering if I could improve its performance with a better carb and what suggestions are out there on what type I should use.
Thanks

Just read what Lee wrote about the Tii distributor.
The Tii engine I have recently aquired also does NOT have a Tii dizy but my standard '75 (old smokey) had a Tii dizy put on by the PO. Perhaps putting the Tii dizy on the Tii engine will help it from 0-60? Hmmmm vedy interesting.....and the installing the standard dizy in the standard engine will help it too?...dont know what its going to help though...it smokes too much anyway, which is why I got the Tii engine for it..
You cats are the coolest.
