I understand your point, but he states he is getting the power at higher rpms - that's when the advance is greatest. So, it seems that the rebuild was designed to accomodate increased advance.
Several folks on this list are very successful with loads (beyond factory) of extra advance on their tii's. I for one was. It took lots of tuning to get a respectable curve, but the top end really came to life. I could name shop owners that have done the same, but that would be their choice.

readers - don't start fiddl'n with your tii advance till you are comfortable adjusting the pump too. Pumps set at factory specs like the factory advance curve best.
I don't know... I mean if the Tii engine CR is 9:1 you probably want the Tii dizzy or something close to it. The main problem with the 32/36 is that it comes jetted for a 1.6L Ford engine. It will be much happier if you get rid of those tiny main jets and put in something closer to 145 or 150. The idle jets like to be a bit larger as well. And if the 32/36 is old, the throttle shafts probably leak ( like mine ) and the thing will never idle or progress too smoothly at small throttle openings. And, yes, I'm putting my money into a 38DGAS as soon as I save up some $$$ and it would certainly be a better match for that higher CR Tii engine.
