I'm doubting that he will see any noteable rewards by using the vac adv/ret functions of a 75 dizzy ( as I have seen little benefit with my 75 dizzy when using the vac module), but the weights, spring, and maximum advance stop may be better with the 75 dizzy than the Tii. I wonder if the tii is an 008 orignal or 002 aftermarket. The 002 has the same maximum advance stop as the 75, but much slower advance rate.
Come to think of it, when I put in the 002 for the first time, I noticed the same thing he did. No power at low RPMs with decent power up top, so if he has a 002, perhaps the 75 dizzy is a good move.
I wouldn't doubt that he could run more advance at higher RPMs with good gas and proper jetting. I also do it all the time, albeit with a stock 74 non-Tii engine.
