Hi 02'ers,

The front driver's drain hose, coming from the sun roof, has somehow broken off up inside the kick panel, and no drain hose protrudes out into the wheel well. With a mirror I am unable to see the end, and I'm thinking I will have to run a whole new hose. It looks like I would have to remove or peel back the headliner and pillar liner to run a new hose. Something I don't especially want to do. Is there an easier way?

TIA,

Dave

Dave -

Sorry, there isn't an easier way that I know of. You will have to peel back the headliner around the "A" pillar and be very careful not to stretch or tear the liner. The hose attaches with a spring clip at the top and you should attach a strong string or something to the hose before you pull it down the pillar, so that you'll have a fishwire to pull the new hose with.

I had a sunroof clip installed on my 02 and the body man welded shut the drain channels, so I don't have any way to drain on the passenger side.

Good luck!

John
