I have a '73 that I paid $1800 for in June. It had fresh paint, very good interior with exception of original carpet in bad shape. This made the whole interior look bad. No rust. A/C. New tires and nice rims.

A lady hit me 6 weeks ago. The insurance co was going to offer me $1800 for it until I showed them that the NADA guides showed it to be a classic. They came back and gave me $3600 for it. So as you can see, the values fluctuate everywhere. For '02 officianados, they are worth more. Hopefully, you are getting this from someone who doesn't know their TRUE value. Which value to me is driving one of the best engineered machines at a great price.

'73 2002 Sahara

What's the going price of a very good condition '76 '02? Let's say the body is very good ... no visible rust. 4-speed, Weber, P195/50/15's on alloy?

I welcome (and need) your comments and suggestions for looking at this car in more detail. i.e. what are the sensitive areas to focus on when evaluating this vehicle? All I have to go by are some pics... I'll be looking at it more closely next week.

I realise this is not a simple question. ...what are '76's going for?
