ok, i saw this somewhere. someone has a 3.64 "open" differential. what is the open part? any feedback is good. i am guessing that it has the limited slip capabilities, but they modified it to be a regular one legger. am i right?

matthew bajda

An open diff has spider gears in a carrier next to the large ring gear; a ltd slip has clutches or discs and no spider gears
there are different percentages of slip that can be obtained by altering the slippage of the clutches 25% 320is typical, some 40% and some 75%
very hard to find though and not needed on a street car
Doing a 320 ltd slip swap to a 72 in the driveway right now :)
good luck,
Brian
