According to Mike Macartney's restoration guide, polaris is: "common in UK and USA except US tii's." I know of a couple including the one I have. Any thoughts on this?

According to the guide, it is one of the more common colors used (except for the tii as you say). It would make a stock tii (especially concourse) that much more valuable to collector due to the rare number that were produced. Mobile Tradition may be able to give you the exact number of Polaris Silver tii's exported to the U.S. It will be at least 2 because I have a 74 Polaris tii.
