Thanks,

Why do you want a hotter plug? Are yours fouling out? If so, with gas or oil? If all you want is a hotter plug, go with 1 step hotter, ask salesman which one is hotter for the brand you want. Learn how to read the plug. Get a manual and look in the ignition section, it should show you pictures and descriptions of how plugs are burning and why. A hotter plug means that the insulator below the contact stays hotter to help burn off carbon, etc. The spark isn't necessarily any hotter. To get a hotter spark the voltage in the coil needs to be increased or the coil upgraded to put out more power. A Bosch blue coil is a good upgrade for the stock 02 engine. If you go this route the ballast resister needs to be removed.
If you have a sock engine, it's hard to beat the Pertronix. All you do is pull points and condensor out, put Pertronix in and hook up. Cost about $60 at La Jolla Indpendent or other 02 suppliers, directions come with the unit.
