You should use a blue coil, an MSD6A and a pertronix. It is one of the best setups. With the MSD6A, you still need a coil.

the engine isn't stock, it has header, 2 dual 40DCOE webers, higher pref. cam, 8mm spark wire, i think it has the bosch Red coil in it, is the blue better for the electonic ign. or would and MSD be better, do you even use a coil with electonic ign.? I'm very new with all of this. Are you saying that all i need to make my car have an electronic ign. is to put Petronix in the distributor.
