I hate to give the 02 a bad name, so I try to keep mine running as nicely, and smell free as possible. I'm having some major probs with a fuel smell from the exhaust. I check the plugs and they are fouling with carbon on them after about a week, maybe less depending on drive time. I've had one of the 2 Weber 40 DCOE rebuit, the other one is being done tomorrow. I'm wondering if it all carb related? The cracked header is letting some of the exhaust into the car, so after my comute it smells like I had a mishap at the gas station and the fuel pump won. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have a tii, so I can't help you on the carb questions, but I have read several posts about the cabin vents at the base of the "c" pillars allowing fuel fumes to creep into the cockpit. I think Big Dog may have had something on this in the last month or so, so search the archives.
While I am at it, I'd suggest installing new fuel hoses from the tank to the main transfer and vent lines. It would be unusual if they haven't been replaced and I'll bet that they are brittle. Also check the vent tank beneath the right side of the hat panel (or whatever it is called) you may have a cracked or brittle vent hose there as well.
Hope this helps
John
