I have the Clardy system in my '76. It hasn't worked since
I bought it several months ago, but the previous owner swore
it blew cold before he put it in storage. (yea right) So I
just made sure I could turn the compressor by hand and
figured I'd be able to fix it. But I need some help. Does this system have a low pressure switch? There are 2 switches on the console - one is the blower speed, and the other I'm guessing is the thermostat. If so which position
would be max cool and is there an off position? The compressor has a label that says "FACTORY AIR" on it. Is this the original compressor that came with the system? Also has anyone ever tried swapping consoles from other systems? I'd rather try mounting a stereo above the vents rather than below. The shifter kinda blocks the controls.
