for a used 3.90 ls diff, you're looking at $200 to $350. most of the 2002 tuners should have used ones they can sell you. rebuilding a ls diff can cost upwards of $700. open diffs may be cheaper. if you're running the standard 4-speed, having a 3.90 rear end won't be any fun on the highway. the car will really be screaming to keep up with traffic. if you don't have a 5-speed and don't plan on getting one, try finding a 3.64:1 ls diff. they are harder to find, but they're around. good luck.
