Actually I live on the "wet" coast of Canada, in Richmond, BC. We rarely have salt on the roads, but we do get a lot of rain. Certainly, I don't think you would see this kind of problem much in California or Arizona.

Fortunately, the ride was not that exciting, since it happened as I was slowing to make a turn in a bit of traffic. Just damn lucky I wasn't pushing the car at the time.

The car is already repaired and back on the road -thanks to my parts car.
