The Clardy AC systems was one of the few that came with a rotary compressor. So, don't throw away your compressor bracket, you may be able to install a new Sanden compressor if you have to.

As for different consoles, the Clardy unit is bit wider than most other evaportors. But believe me, if you can get it operational again, it really blew cold. I had one in my 1st '02 and loved it. The rotary compressor didn't suck as much power as the York compessor you see in Behr AC system.

As for the stereo, none of the AC systems really did have good accessibility. I agree with Dwight H., Go with a remote CD player and you'll be happy. Anyway, IMHO the '02 is too noisy a car to be able to listen to a quality sound system at freeway speeds.
