My new project is a yellow '71 2002...or so I thought. It has no lower body trim, and according to one schematic--I was re-connecting the electrical--it's a 1600. According to the Haynes manual it's a typical 2002.

How can I tell, other than the vin#, which on my registration, I suspect, is wrong.

I have the McCartney book and will check the vin on the body, but anybody have any other info?

The vin on the passenger side of the motor compartment should tell you.
is it a 1600 engine matching #'s?
I have a 67 and 68 1600 ;also a couple 2002's theres not alot of difference, just the normal stuff between years.
My guess is the later 1600's had the lower trim like the 2002's but im not sure
turn signal on the right side of the steering column?
good luck,
Brian
