It might be what Michael suggested, a rigged up cold start button. There is that cold start relay on the firewall which is wired to the starter via the ignition switch. Anytime you start the car, the relay is supposed to open up the cold start injector bolted to the throttle body. My car didnt have that relay when I got it, so at some point, instead of replacing it, a starter type momentary push button was wired directly to the injector. Making the addition of fuel upon startups a manual affair. My 74 tii, that I was cleaning under the hood, when a wire touched the negative battery cable, the wire caught on fire small one. I traced one end of the wire, to the starter valve and battery the other end to a small red button on the left side of the steering column. The red button looks factory, but I can tell that some has been there rewiring stuff black electrical at the splice. The car starts fine. Would like to know how to wire this correctly. i have a black and white wiring diagrahm I can't tell were the valve is on the diagrahm. Waiting for answer, thank you guys.
