the truck's tag is your most "concrete" piece of information. declare " hit and run" equivelent although the guy did not run immediately from the scene- false information equals flight from the responsibility- and get the bum cops to do their job, run the plate and track this guy down ( or at least track down the truck and go after the owner of the truck too). i have had similar lack of cooperation from protect and SERVE . i hope you get this guy- good lesson to all of us to demand drivers license at scene to verify information, and / or call the cops to the scene.
btw- what state did this occur in? finally for around 50 bucks or less you can hook up with the internet based pis who will run a dmv check on the tag if the cops wont cooperate. good luck- get the rat bastard. j.///
a suggestion, why not lure him where he makes his living. Have someone else (who's voice he wont recognize) call and request an estimate on some extensive (and expensive) kitchen remodeling which requires all new appliance installation. The greedy SOB will probably call back on that, set up a time and meeting place, make sure to bring a police officer along for the meeting.FWIW I ran his phone number through a reverse lookup and it must be unlisted because it does not have a listing against it.
