My new project is a yellow '71 2002...or so I thought. It has no lower body trim, and according to one schematic--I was re-connecting the electrical--it's a 1600. According to the Haynes manual it's a typical 2002.

How can I tell, other than the vin#, which on my registration, I suspect, is wrong.

I have the McCartney book and will check the vin on the body, but anybody have any other info?

When I bought my 1600 in '69 the main differences between them and the 2002s were engine size, hydraulic clutch (2002)vs. mechanical clutch (1600), fully reclining seats for the 2002, a tachometer for the 2002 instead of a clock and larger brakes for the 2002.
