Here are the details on the car from Jeff:
The 2002 Race Car was custom built by a local BMW tuner in Kego Harbor, MI.
It started out as a 1976? 2002. The car is designed to look like the IMSA
race cars of the late 70's and early 80's. The car has a 650-800 hp BMW
320i motor in it. It has a Calloway AirResearch TO4b turbocharger on it
with adjustable boost. The car has been gone over mechanically and had the
motor rebuilt within the last year. I don't believe that the car has been
tracked since the motor rebuild (I can find out about this). The motor is
connected to a custom built 4sp trans. The motor is controlled by a SDS
programable fuel injection system that would have to be remapped before the
car is run. I have a 4in 3-ring binder full of receipts, info, manuals, and
picts that detail the car's history from day one. Unfortunatly the car has
no race history. It can only be entered in Vintage "Open Class" events.
This car is a total "club racer." Also available is an E30 M3 turbocharged
motor that could produce anywhere from 800-1000 hp depending on how it is
set-up and how long you want it to last. The M3 motor is not as complicated
at the 320i motor with the SDS injection and can be run without knowledge of
a complicated fuel injection system. I also have a trailer that I would
sell with the car. I have included some more picts of the car. If you want
more information, give me a call at 248-227-1304. I also more picts
available. I am asking $35,900. Let me know if you have any more
questions.
