Thanks for the advice. Without drilling and by using some hole punches, some elbow grease, I managed to get the bolts in. Jacking the car helped I think. Haven't drilled the firewall holes yet or put on the torque brace.

Am also cutting out the battery mount. Wish it was the old bolt on style. The weld material is tough stuff.
