I'm just beginning my rebuild and am starting in the trunk. I'll be doing the painting in here myself.
My question is in regard to paint sources. When I take the car to a shop they'll cross reference the paint color and buy it from XXX (they're prefered supplier) correct ???
So what should I do for my paint?
Go to the local auto paint supply house and buy one of the major brand names ? and let it go at that ?

Or, god forbid, insist on buying all the paint from BMW ???
