I can get the early style chrome joint covers (for cars without impact strip rubber like the photo shows) but they're about $85.00 each (!) These were NLA for YEARS - and at least BMW made 'em again.

The same joint covers for later "impact strip" cars are only $21.00 each - and that's what I'm going to try on my '70 in a few weeks. ($190.00 for two covers makes me weep so I'll get crafty to save 150 bucks!)

I'll let you all know if the later ones will work. I suspect they just have a flat "face" that the rubber lays on - and without rubber - this face would be visable.

I've had these covers on all of my 02s - I prefer them to the overrider horns in the rear definitely!

Only available for rear tho - not front.
