Viet, remember that whatever happened between you and the civic, the guy is still driving a damn civic. nuff said.

Also, while it is possible to put big power in those honda platforms, 9 out of 10 of the flashy hondas you see are just "rice." Many times, the add-on junk makes their cars significantly slower...just think, those guys'll put $2000 into some kind of freakish bodykit, 18" rims that weigh a ton, and lighting effects, when you put a little cash into those dual 40s. You'll get burned now and again by the real horsepower, but that
*should* be rare.

With dual 40s, a big cam, and big pistons, an 02 motor can make 150-160 hp, yeah? Ya figure the fastest stock civic out there is the si, which has 160 hp, but probably weighs a couple hundred more pounds than an 02.

A little OT story...My buddy Leo drives an 87 plymouth voyager turbo (a 2.5 liter, I believe)...and that thing is pretty punchy (with the right mods, you can drive a 320-horse mopar turbo on the street with no probs). We had 7 people in the van and we rolled up at a light in oakland next to a slammed accord with a loud ass exhaust, lights, giant chrome rims, etc...we urged Leo to race the clown, and he loaded up the torque converter to bring the turbo up to speed...light goes green and we were off with a chirp from the front tires. All the honduh guy saw was turbo minivan taillights. He was on it, too...we could hear his riceboy exhaust from way out front (where we were!). we shoulda opened the sliding door to talk some mess...

man this suck, i just installed my dual 40's and taked the car out for a spin. when i was waiting at a stop light, a civic pull up and started to rev up his engine. i was up to the challege since i just installed my new carb, so when the light turn green off we went. we were head to head until i put it into fourth gear, and the civic was gone.

yes, i know, save this for the track, but i just wanted to see how my car compare to the civic.

people with dual 40's, how fast are your car, and how are u jetting set. thanks, viet
