A friend has contacted me with headlight problems. In short, the head lights are not working. The year of the car is 75. She thought she heard a "pop", and oops, no headlights. She says her fuses are ok, and that both high beams and low beams are unoperational. I suggested to her that it could be the relay. As it is too dark to lay on my back under the dash of my golf beater, can anyone advise us where the relay is under the dash.(or is it under the hood?) I looked at the wiring schematic in an owners manual, and I could only find a "low beam relay" shown. Is there a "high beam relay" as well? I have searched my memory, and I cannot for the life of me remember changing a headlight relay on an 02. Macartney's Restoration Guide makes no mention of a relay, except as an added upgrade. (Perhaps the euro 02's had no relay, due to the H4 headlamps???) Thanks in advance. And yes, we will check the switch as well.
