I have a '76 '02. new clutch and slave cyl. with the recent cold weather here in chicago i have noticed that i have to put the clutch almost to the for to change gears and the brake pedal is also a wee bit more MUSHY. I added more brake fluid(it was real low) this seemed to be cure it, but the problem shortly came back. H E L P !!!!!!

Did you check to make sure there are no leaks like the clutch master cyl. which is just behind the pedals. This can be the cause of fluid leaks that you don't see the fluid loss. Also the cold temps make the fluid in the tran. very thick and when it is cold the tran. is hard to get into gear. If the shifting problem goes away after the car warms up and has been driven I think it might be the fluid, but if it is still hard I think maybe the clutch master might be leaking and with the leak you don't get good pedal response. Good luck
