url's to call pages on our web browsers. When you look at a url think of it as a pointer to a file, if you break it apart you can se the protocol used (http)the name of the server (forums.roadfile.com),where the file resides in the server (/2002/messages/messages/66835) and the type of file (html). I hope this helps, to everyone else if you see there are any mistakes in my explanation pls feel free to correct them.
