J buy BMW 2002 and J need something to know on how many places exist number of car body(every car has two numbers engine and body ) J know for one place that is below the front driver glass on the right side of the car is there eny more?
please help Nikola

Nikola -

You will also find the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on a tag riveted to the right side of the engine bay near the strut tower and also stamped on the engine block where it joins the transmission (sorry, I forget which side of the engine) Also, you may find a tag riveted to the steering column cover. None of the other major parts (transmission, rear axle) are serially numbered as far as I know.

If your engine number and vehicle number match, it means the vehicle has the original engine block. To determine when your vehicle was produced, check out the link below.

Hope this helps!
