I vaguely remember something on the Messageboard about a company that sell copper head gaskets of varying thicknesses. They aren't cheap, but other than cutting the pistons, that might be your only alternative. So, check the archives and search the internet using keywords like "copper head gasket". Maybe, you will get lucky.
