32/36 weber-trying to set plates in the morning, i have rotated housing about 20 degress counter clockwise and the plates wont budge.

I have a 32/36 weber with a water choke. Recently I took it apart and noticed that the choke plates would not close until I rotated the water choke assembly a full 360 degrees. At that time, they snapped shut and the original factory markings lines up. Not knowing if you have the same setup, this may or may not work for you.
