I tried Testors once. Real shiny, but it's hard to spray without getting it on too thick. The sharp ridge detail of the rings will be softened. Other brands may work better.

I got better result with Testors Aluminum Metallizer paint. (Also available in darker, gun-metal shades.) Spray on, let dry a bit, then buff out with a soft, damp rag. It sprays on real thin, so you may need to do 4-5 coats for the right effect. Just be careful when you clean them later(no harsh cleaners, like 409).

Consider getting them re-chromed. Most places will only do large quantities (and require ALL of the old chrome to be sanded off), so if we get enough interest...
