Hi,
well if you want to keep the car more than
three years and if you are serious about the
car then you should replace the shock towers
completely. the way that i do it for customer
cars is to replace the entire inside wheel
house. this takes a while but in the end it is
the strongest and the cleanest.
its not an easy process but here is the
short of it:
remove the rear seat
" carpet
" rear seat belts
" truk lid
" everything from trunk
" the gas tank
" shock
" spring
" around the top of the wheel house
all of the undercoating and body shutz
once this is done follow around the entire
wheel house and mark each spot weld so that you
can drill out each weld from the sacrifice side,
from experience i have found that it is best to
stop just above the seat belt mount and leave
that in place as a guide and support for later
work. once this is done remove the old wheel
house and begin by matching the new shape to the
old one. after a long time and a lot of test fitting
the new one will be ready to go in.
close up and under coat as you finish up.
this is very simplified but i do this at
least once a year for someone.
keep me up to date on your work
if you need help contact me
good luck
