Hello there..I have a '69 1600 too. It has been sitting for the same reason for about 4 months now. Last friday I met this guy who had a '69 1600 and he told me that the original MC was intact so I went running to pull it out. When I got there what it has, unfortunately is a modified 2002 master cylinder. This MC works just fine but the car looses orginality. They had plugged the two plugs..make sure it is the right ones, you can ask Rob at 2002AD, but i drove the car and brakes good. MC is sold for around $100.00 at Ierland. That is what I am planning to do come January...Please let me know on what you decide to do. Be carefull, the 320I MC is not a fit for the 1600 even though it has a 3 outlets like the 1600. My e-mail is sheggaw@yahoo.com

Curious as to why you do not think that the 320i m/c is a fit for the 1600.
