when the car is fully warm up, fresh tune up and petronix ignition, the guys a la jolla independent puzzle, Jack Fahuna told me to check the timing, moving the distribiutor a couple off degrees an see what happens. I haven't try it yet because I'm doing some rewiring and stuff. So if you come up a solution please let me know.

Hello,

I'm on my 3rd 2002 and 1st tii. My mechanic and I are puzzled by my car dieseling when I turn my car off after it has warmed up. I do have an aftermarket ignition, and I gapped my plugs 0.005 bigger. Also, I hear the fuel pump when I turn the ignition on so I'm assuming it's aftermarket (I haven't looked for it yet). Some people tell me to replace the plugs and/or check the fuel pump rating (w/c I shall do tomorrow). I was just wondering if anybody else has experienced this, and if you have any other suggestions.

Thanks in advance,
Joel

BTW - My mechanic already spent 10 hours on the timing. It does run well once started and warmed up, and the car idles OK now.
