I have an early style heater box that has 4 wires connected to it in a cross type pattern. One of those is the earth which has a female type connector. The problem is the other 3 wires. All of the books I have seen don't jive with what color wires I have. The colors are green/white, red/green, and green yellow. Any help in identifying where these thing s go is greatly appreciated. The pattern is something like this: |
| | ---ground!
|

You could pull your heater control and observe which wire color corresponds with which switch position. Alternately, if you have a volt meter or 12V test light, just turn your key on, and test for power at the heater box connection at each switch setting. I believe that the connector fan-speed positions on the heater box are as follows (as viewed from above- these are the male connectors to which your wires attach):

--- (female connector for ground)

--- (low) --- (medium)

--- (high)

According to Haynes, green-white = low, green-yellow= medium and green-red = high, but YMMV. If push comes to shove, you can figure this out by trial and error. You can't hurt anything by plugging in one of the wires, turning on your blower control and see what happens at each position. Hope all this makes sense. If not, let me know.
