you still have, basically, not much. So perhaps this list dealt in percentages. If the 2002 appreciated in value 50 to 75 %, in a short time, it could be argued that it has appreciated astronomically. But the actual monetary gain is very small as far as collectable cars go. It is very hard for me to imagine the 2002 sedan becoming anything approaching a "wise investment for monetary gain". But if you want to talk about the experience of carving a canyon in one, now THAT justifies the investment.
