I know this got some discussion on Friday. I came up with a question over the weekend.

What's safer for a 3 yr old -- booster in back seat with a lap belt or booster in the front seat with the shoulder harness. I have always read that children should be in the back seat until age 12, but I can't help but think the shoulder harness in the front should offset the safety of the backseat.

Any thoughts?? My 3 year old is always asking for a ride in "daddy's new car" and my wife is saying "keep her in the backseat". I want to make sure she is safe. I know, the best solution is to install shoulder harnesses in the backseat.
