HELP!!!! I'm in the middle of replacing all the front suspension bushings with urethane units from BMP. Everything's a go except the inner control arm bushings. The ones BMP sent me are the exact same pieces as the outer control arm bushings. In other words, I have 4 identical urethane bushings to do both the inner and outer control arm. This stinks since the inner bolt is a larger diameter than the one for the outside (radius rod/drag strut). Did they send me some wrong parts here, or am I to discard the metal sleve on the inside of the bushings to make room for the bigger bolt? Anyone used BMP bushings before and seen this problem?TIA --
Greg
They apparently made a mistake. The inner and outer bushings are two different sizes as are the attendant sleeves. (You need the sleeve so you don't compress the bushing.)
BMP normally does an excellent job, but they are human like the rest of us.... Call them in the morning and work it out.
