OK, Here is the deal. Bought a 76 2002 with frozen calipers. So I decided to re-do the entire brake system. Everything is fine except the brake pads I keep getting are to thick!! Thiis is the third set I have gotten, always to thick and yes the calipers are fully compressed :)
My rotors are good so I did not replace them. I got a set of Beck Arnley calipers. The old pads look diffrent, and they fit fine in the new calipers. The new pads are to thick and dont fit well, like the old ones. The clip fits but doesnt hold them tight like the old pads. Any ideas? Has someone swapt brake systems? By the way by to thick, I mean after they are in the caliper, I have about 1/4 inch space...not enough to get even the used rotor in there.
