We have a few of them. They were sold here in the seventies. They still race here in the classic championship.
Today these cars aren't so common anymore and many of them are rusted. There's also a lot of 1602 (including mine).

I am based in southern Ca. and work for a international construction co. which was awarded a bid to do work in Portugal set to start this June......looks like I will be sent for 5-6 month's. My question is does anyone here know if BMW set up a dealership network in the late sixties/early seventies in this country or perhaps Spain? My "Service stations overseas" booklet which came with my '72 does not list any European countries. I hope to dig up some NLA/NOS parts and perhaps get a true "euro" driver during my stay as wont be shipping my car over and cant be without for so long. I'm sure BMW sold in Spain but Portugal? Any info will help thanks! -a
