Like I always say, if it's free it's for me. Try to get it running reasonably well--cheaply. Get some used parts to fix whatever you can and do the work yourself. Save the body work for later--or, better, never. This car sounds like it could be a good beater for a little while, but it's probably not a good restoration candidate. When it finally succumbs to rust, you can use it as the parts car for your next 2002. Free/ cheap cars in this condition are great if you don't invest a lot of money into repairs/ restoration.
